Terms of use
IN SHORT
The full terms follow. If anything below seems to say something different from this summary, the full terms apply.
1 Who we are
1.1 Jeevanto is provided by Anubhav Tyagi (Jeevanto), Sector-66, Gurugram, Haryana 122102, India.
1.2 In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Anubhav Tyagi (Jeevanto). "You" means the person using Jeevanto. "Jeevanto" means the Jeevanto app, the website jeevanto.com, and the services we provide through them.
2 Agreeing to these terms
2.1 By creating an account, or by using Jeevanto, you agree to these terms, our Privacy policy and our Refunds and cancellation policy. Please read all three.
2.2 We ask you to agree with a clear action of your own, such as a tick or a button. We never tick a box for you.
2.3 If you don't agree, please don't use Jeevanto.
3 Who can use Jeevanto
3.1 You must be 18 or over. Everyone in a Circle (a Family plan, or someone you look after or who looks after you) must be 18 or over too.
3.2 You must be able to make a binding contract under Indian law.
3.3 Jeevanto is available first to people in India, and then in the other markets we name on our site. Some features, prices and ways to pay differ by country.
4 Your account
4.1 You can create an account in the app or on jeevanto.com, with your email address, or through Google, Apple or Microsoft. Signing in with a mobile number comes to each country once text messages are approved there.
4.2 Keep your details accurate, and keep your phone, your app lock and your sign-in safe. You're responsible for what happens in your account, unless it happens because we failed to keep it secure.
4.3 Tell us straight away at help@jeevanto.com if you think someone else has got into your account.
4.4 One account is for one person. Don't share it. If others at home want Jeevanto, they can have their own account, on their own plan or on a Family plan.
5 What Jeevanto does
5.1 Jeevanto helps you with ten things: Notes, Reminders, Prepare, Find, Lookout, Do this, Book, Order, Send and Errands. Which of them you get depends on your plan. The Plans page on jeevanto.com and the Plans screen in the app say exactly what each plan includes.
5.2 To help you, Jeevanto reads only:
- the accounts you choose to connect (for example your mail, calendar and contacts);
- what you tell it or give it;
- what people in your Circle choose to share with you.
5.3 From what it reads, Jeevanto keeps what matters, such as a date, a promise or an offer, each pointing to where it came from. It doesn't keep your mail itself. Our Privacy policy explains this in full.
5.4 Anything Jeevanto knows or has worked out about you can be taken back. A pattern it notices in your habits waits for your yes before it's used.
6 When Jeevanto acts for you
6.1 The go is always yours. Jeevanto prepares a booking, an order, a message or a form. It acts only after you say go, or where you have set a clear standing instruction yourself.
6.2 Jeevanto never pretends to be you, or anyone else. It acts as your assistant, on your instruction. It never claims to be a person it isn't.
6.3 When Jeevanto books, orders or pays on another company's website, your contract is with that company, not with us. Their prices, terms, cancellation rules and refunds apply. We aren't a party to that sale, and we don't hold your money.
6.4 Jeevanto shows you what it's about to do before you say go. Check it. You're responsible for what you approve, including the details you give and the payment you make.
6.5 Some things Jeevanto will never do for you, whoever asks. These include moving money between bank accounts, and signing in to your bank or email for someone else. The app shows these limits where they apply.
7 Accounts you connect
7.1 You choose which accounts to connect, and what Jeevanto may read in each. Jeevanto only reads. It never sends, changes or deletes anything in those accounts on its own.
7.2 You can pause any source, or disconnect it, at any time in Settings.
7.3 When you connect an account from Google, Apple, Microsoft or another provider, that provider's own terms still apply to your account with them.
7.4 Data we receive from Google is used only as Google's API Services User Data Policy allows, including its Limited Use requirements. Our Privacy policy says more.
8 Your Circle: Family and kin
8.1 Everyone keeps their own Jeevanto. Being on the same Family plan, or being someone's kin, doesn't give anyone a way into another person's account.
8.2 Nothing is shared without a yes. Each person chooses what to share, and with whom, and can take it back at any time.
8.3 Kin is someone you look after, or who looks after you: a parent, a child, a friend. A care-giver can help only with what the care-receiver has allowed. A care-giver can never:
- pay with the care-receiver's money;
- see their passwords;
- change their settings;
- send a message as them.
8.4 Notes shared with a care-giver. The care-receiver chooses what to share: one note, certain notes, certain types of note, or all notes. A care-giver can change a note shared with them, but can never delete it. The owner is told of every change, and both of you can see it in your activity. Every note always shows who owns it, and who changed it and when.
8.5 Hand-overs. Between two people on paid plans, one can prepare a booking or a job and hand it to the other. The care-receiver says go, and then either of them may pay. The Plans page shows what can be handed over on each plan.
8.6 Shared store logins can be shared only inside a Family. They can never be bank or email logins, and the password is never shown to anyone.
8.7 Leaving. You can leave a Family, or end a kin link, at any time. You keep everything you made. The other person is told.
9 Plans, payments and cancelling
9.1 Express is free, for as long as you like. Plus and Family are paid. Prices are on the Plans page, include tax, and are set for your country.
9.2 Free months. Your first 3 months of Plus are free, once per person. They start the first time you open the app. Joining again, or joining a Family, never restarts or extends them.
9.3 Founding price. The first 1,000 people to choose Plus, or each seat of a founding Family, keep the founding price for their first 2 years.
9.4 Paying. On the website, you pay through Razorpay, with UPI Autopay or a card. You set up a standing instruction. Everyone is billed on the 1st of the month: your first payment covers the rest of the month you start in, then your plan renews by itself on the 1st of each month (or once a year, for yearly Plus). Nothing is charged before your free months end. We remind you before each payment. Your card or UPI details stay with Razorpay; we never see them.
9.5 We don't sell plans inside the app. You choose and pay for a plan on jeevanto.com. If we ever offer payment inside the iPhone or Android app, Apple's or Google's own rules will apply to those payments, and we'll update these terms first.
9.6 Cancelling. You can cancel any time, in two clicks, from Your account. Cancelling stops the next payment. Your plan carries on to the end of the period you've paid for. Then you're on Express, with everything you've made kept.
9.7 Refunds are set out in our Refunds and cancellation policy. It forms part of these terms.
9.8 Price changes. If we change the price of your plan, we'll tell you at least 30 days before your next payment at the new price. You can cancel before then. A founding price doesn't change during its 2 years.
10 What you may not do
You may not use Jeevanto to:
- break the law, or help someone else break it;
- harm, harass, deceive or pretend to be someone else;
- get into another person's account or data without their yes;
- send spam, or messages people haven't asked for;
- copy, take apart or resell Jeevanto, or try to get round its limits or its security;
- overload our systems, or run automated tools against them;
- make bookings or orders you don't mean to keep, or use someone else's payment method without their permission.
If you find a security weakness, please tell us at security@jeevanto.com, and give us a fair chance to fix it before telling anyone else.
11 What's yours and what's ours
11.1 What you put into Jeevanto, and what it keeps for you, is yours. You let us store and process it only to run Jeevanto for you, as our Privacy policy describes. We don't sell it, and we never use it to train AI.
11.2 Jeevanto itself is ours: the app, the website, the design, the name and the logo. You may use them only to use Jeevanto. These terms don't give you any other rights in them.
11.3 If you send us an idea or a suggestion, we may use it freely, without owing you anything.
12 AI, and the limits of what Jeevanto knows
12.1 Jeevanto uses AI to read, sort and suggest. AI can be wrong. Jeevanto shows you where each fact came from, so you can check it.
12.2 Jeevanto is not a doctor, a lawyer or a financial adviser. What it keeps from your medical records, bills or documents is there to help you keep track. It is not advice. For anything that matters to your health, money or legal rights, ask a qualified person.
12.3 Don't rely on Jeevanto alone for anything where a missed reminder could cause serious harm, such as a critical medicine. Keep your own backup for those.
13 Other people's services
13.1 Jeevanto works with services run by others: the accounts you connect, the websites where it books or orders, Razorpay for payments, and the app stores. We don't control them, and we're not responsible for their content, prices, availability or policies.
13.2 A link or a result from another site isn't a recommendation from us.
14 When Jeevanto isn't available
14.1 We work to keep Jeevanto running. But it may sometimes be unavailable, slow, or missing a feature, for example during maintenance, or when a service it depends on is down. We'll tell you in the app when something planned will affect you.
14.2 We may change, improve or retire features. If we remove something that's part of a paid plan you're on, we'll tell you in advance, and you can cancel, as our Refunds and cancellation policy sets out.
15 Suspending or closing an account
15.1 You can delete your account at any time, in the app (Settings), or on jeevanto.com without the app, with your email or mobile number and a code we send you. What happens next is set out in our Privacy policy.
15.2 We may suspend or close an account if it breaks these terms in a serious way, if the law requires it, or to protect other people or Jeevanto. Unless the law or someone's safety stops us, we'll tell you why first, and give you a chance to put it right. If we close a paid account for a reason that isn't your fault, we'll refund the unused part of what you've paid.
16 Our responsibility to you
16.1 Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or any other law that protects you and can't be excluded.
16.2 We provide Jeevanto with reasonable care and skill. Beyond that, and as far as the law allows, we provide it "as it is", and don't promise it will be free of mistakes or always available.
16.3 As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for:
- losses we couldn't reasonably have foreseen;
- losses caused by another company's service, including a website where Jeevanto booked or ordered for you;
- losses from something you approved, or from details you gave that were wrong;
- losses of profit, business or opportunity.
16.4 As far as the law allows, our total responsibility to you for anything connected with Jeevanto is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the problem arose, or ₹5,000, whichever is higher.
16.5 None of this limits our responsibility for death or injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't let us limit.
17 Your responsibility to us
If you break these terms or the law, and that causes someone to make a claim against us, you're responsible for the loss it causes us, to the extent that you caused it.
18 Changes to Jeevanto and to these terms
18.1 We may update these terms: when the law changes, when we add or change a feature, or to make them clearer.
18.2 If a change matters to you, we'll tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you don't agree, you can stop using Jeevanto and cancel your plan before then. If you carry on after the change takes effect, the new terms apply.
18.3 Each version has a number and a date at the top. Earlier versions are available on request.
19 The law, and settling disagreements
19.1 These terms are governed by the laws of India.
19.2 If something goes wrong, please write to us first. We'll try to put it right quickly.
19.3 If we can't settle it together, the courts at Gurugram, Haryana, will deal with it. This doesn't take away your right to go to a consumer commission, or a court, where you live, as Indian consumer law allows.
